Tracee Ellis Ross Spills On Her Love Life & Why She’s Not Settling

While speaking with Michelle Obama and her brother, Tracee Ellis Ross kept it a buck, saying she feels some pain about not having her own family. But she did admit that she knows her worth and wants a partner who will add to her life. She explained that riding solo has taught her how to move throughout without having “someone to hide behind.” Still, she’s holding out, hoping her person will find her one day.

“As much grief does surface for me around not having children and not having a partner… I still wouldn’t want the [wrong] partner. I am not interested in that, you have to make my life better it can’t just be I’m in a relationship just to be in a relationship,” Ross explained.

Additionally, Tracee mentioned that she feels most men her age are stuck in a toxic masculinity mindset. She said she believes they grew up thinking relationships should look a certain way. The ‘Girlfriends’ star also said she has no desire to raise or teach a grown man.

“And I have been long past the age where I feel like it’s my job to teach somebody or grow them up,” Ross said.
