Tori Spelling Opens Up About Legacy, Single Parenting and Brandi Glanville

After decades in Hollywood, Tori Spelling isn’t going anywhere.

“This is my reclaim era. I’m not chasing anything — I’m choosing everything,” Spelling, 51, tells Us Weekly exclusively. “I’m making decisions that serve me, my family and my future. There’s power in that.”

As part of her new era, Spelling recently signed with celebrity brand management agency For The Love Of E, founded by Eman Nafisa.

“This partnership is all about intentional moves. I’ve been in the industry a long time, but this chapter is about owning my narrative, shaping my legacy, and aligning with things that truly reflect who I am — whether that’s through campaigns, creative projects, or conversations I want to be having,” Spelling explains. “Expect meaningful partnerships, elevated storytelling, and content that reflects all sides of me: the entertainer, the mom, the entrepreneur.”

When it comes to storytelling, Spelling has her most meaningful conversations on her “missSPELLING,” which often makes headlines. Most recently, she sat down with Brandi Glanville and the two women wasted no time talking about their complicated past, hashing out their previous animosity toward each other. Spelling told Us that the conversation was both therapeutic and enlightening.

“I’m not in the business of holding onto drama — it’s exhausting. Brandi and I had our past, but we’re both moms, both women in a tough industry, and I wanted to give us space to talk it out,” she says. “It felt real, and I think that’s why people connected to it.”

Speaking of motherhood, Spelling often uses her platform to speak about raising her kids: Liam, 18, Stella, 16, Hattie, 13, Finn, 12, and Beau, 8.

Following her 2024 split from Dean McDermott, Spelling is happy to learn “how capable I am” as a single mom. “I think I always knew it deep down, but being in it every day has shown me just how strong, resourceful, and resilient I can be,” she tells Us.

Part of this new chapter for you through this partnership is to continue to shape your legacy across entertainment, lifestyle and motherhood. Tori Spelling refuses to let her drama with estranged husband Dean McDermott get her down. “I believe in always looking forward and keeping your eye on the prize,” Spelling, 50, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, November 8. “But, this morning I took a pause for self-reflection. It’s important to look back once in a while […]

Legacy has always been in the background of my life, especially growing up with a father who helped shape pop culture. But over the years, I’ve realized it’s not about what people remember you for — it’s how they remember you as. For me, that means being authentic, being bold in my choices, and creating space for other humans to do the same. I want my legacy to be one of strength, evolution, and reinvention.

When did you realize you needed to be in the driver’s seat when it came to building strategy and your brand? Were there times in your career where you felt you didn’t know enough and there were deals made that didn’t financially benefit you the way they should — or that you were taken advantage of because you weren’t as business-savvy or strategically focused?

Yes, absolutely. I think a lot of women in this industry can relate to that—especially those of us who started young. There were times when I went along with decisions that didn’t serve me long-term, just to keep things moving. But now, I’m intentional about every move.

You have such an engaged audience on social media—what do you credit your ability to keep your fans coming back for more?

Honestly? I’ve always been myself. I think people connect to vulnerability and honesty. I’ve never pretended to be perfect, and that’s resonated with people who are also just figuring it out as they go.

After your episode with Brandi, are there other people who you hope to hash things out with on “misSPELLING?” Any names you can give or tease?

There are definitely a few people I’d love to reconnect with or have honest conversations with. No names yet — but I’m open. misSPELLING is a space for that kind of growth and realness.

We’d love to have some of our original castmates who haven’t come on yet—just to bring it full circle. And maybe a surprise celeb who’s a secret 90210 fan!

Liam is now 18! What is it like to have an adult in the house? How will you feel when he’s ready to flee the nest?

It’s surreal. I still see glimpses of the little boy who used to follow me around the house, but now he’s this amazing young man with his own dreams. I’m excited for whatever’s next for him, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t emotional. We’re super close, and I know that bond won’t change — just evolve.
