Chelsea want to sign £8m gem with “left foot made of gold”

Chelsea have now joined the race to sign an £8m midfielder, who has a “left foot made of gold”, and he is highly rated by former Blues midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
Blues set to bolster attacking options
Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku haven’t exactly been prolific in front of goal in the Premier League this season, and there have been calls for the Frenchman to be replaced this summer, following another disappointing display against Legia Warsaw.
Viktor Gyokeres has been identified as a potential target at striker, with the Blues now entering talks over a deal for the 26-year-old, while they are also very keen on signing Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic, and a £39m offer could be submitted for the Serbian.
Not only is Enzo Maresca keen to bring in a striker, however, a new attacking midfielder is also of interest, and Lyon’s Rayan Cherki, who could be available for just £20m this summer, is among the potential targets.

The west Londoners have reached out to another target.
Cherki is not the only low-cost target in attacking midfield, however, with a report from Spain revealing Chelsea are now interested in signing Como’s Nico Paz, but there could be stiff competition for the 20-year-old’s signature.
Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain are also named as potential suitors, while Real Madrid hold a buy-back clause, which means they retain the right to sign Paz for an initial fee of just €9m (£8m).
Such is the Blues’ level of interest, they are doing everything they can to secure the youngster’s signature, but Madrid will have the final say on his future, and the west Londoners will be powerless if the La Liga side decide to swoop.
The Argentine has enjoyed a very impressive debut season with Como in the Serie A, picking up six goals and seven assists in 30 appearances, which has led to high praise from football talent scout Jacek Kulig.
Kulig has also suggested the Spain-born maestro has a “left foot made of gold”, and his dribbling ability, combined with his ability to set up chances and score goals, suggests he could be a fantastic addition for Chelsea this summer.
Meanwhile, former Blues midfielder Fabregas has also praised Paz this season, saying: “Nico enjoys playing, he can play different roles and he is a very complete player.”
Not only that, but the former Real Madrid man is also adept at the defensive side of the game, as showcased by his performance on several key metrics over the past year.

Paz is an extremely well-rounded midfielder, so it would not be a surprise if Real Madrid activate their buy-back clause, but if a move to Stamford Bridge is a possibility, Chelsea shouldn’t hesitate to snap him up.
