Monica Garcia is celebrating a new chapter in her life — motherhood, once again.
The former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star revealed on Instagram that she and her boyfriend Braxton Knight have officially welcomed their first child together, making Monica a proud mom of five. In a sweet Reel posted on Thursday, April 17, Monica shared intimate moments from the hospital as the couple bonded with their newborn.
Set to the tender tune “To Our Daughter (Lullaby)” by My Best Friend Jacob, the video began with Braxton gazing lovingly at the baby, who was wrapped in a lavender swaddle inside a hospital bassinet. Clips showed Monica cradling the baby while sitting in a hospital chair, and later resting with the little one in bed.
The reel ended with the couple leaving the hospital with balloons in tow, marking the joyful journey home.
In a reflective moment, Monica shared her thoughts on the experience of carrying her fifth child at age 40. “Getting pregnant at 40 was never the plan, but just like the last couple years of my life, nothing has gone to plan,” she wrote.
“Dear God & body … thank you 🤍 Thank you for holding this baby safely through 9 months and a delivery. So very grateful. I will miss this so much. Every hiccup and every kick felt 🤍.”
Monica is also mom to four daughters — Bri, 19, Jaidyn, 14, West, 8, and Kendall, 7 — whom she shares with her ex-husband Mike Fowler. After a tumultuous season on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Monica Garcia faced significant backlash from her castmates when it was revealed during the Season 4 finale that she was involved with the anonymous Instagram account “Reality Von Tease,” which had been used to spread rumors about fellow Housewives.
This revelation led to her departure from the show, as many cast members expressed unwillingness to film with her again.
