High-flying Punjab Kings (PBKS) will look to do a double on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) when both teams lock horns against each other in the 37th match of IPL 2025. The match is scheduled to be played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium on Sunday (April 20).
PBKS beat RCB by five wickets in a rain-affected match earlier this week and will be fancying their chances of beating them again. The win was PBKS’ fifth in seven games this season and took them to the second spot in the points table.
With form on their side, the Punjab-based outfit will be eyeing another win to bolster their chances of qualifying for the playoffs for the first time since 2014. As PBKS gear up for the crucial clash, we are taking a look a the PBKS Playing 11.

Openers: Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh
Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh are set to be the openers in the Punjab Kings Playing 11 for the upcoming match. They will be looking to give their team a good start with the bat in the upcoming game.
Priyansh looked in good touch against RCB but could not score big. He was out for 16 runs. On the other hand, Prabhsimran was used as an Impact Player, and he too got the start but could not capitalise on it. The right-handed batsman was out for 13 runs and will be eyeing a big score in the upcoming match.

Middle-order: Shreyas Iyer (c), Shashank Singh, Josh Inglis (wk), Nehal Wadhera, Marcus Stoinis
Captain Shreyas Iyer was spot on with his captaincy in the previous game, but failed to lead the team from the front. The PBKS skipper scored only 7 runs from 10 balls without hitting a single boundary. He will be looking to make amends in the upcoming match.
Josh Inglis got the start, but he too did not last long. The wicketkeeper-batsman, however, is expected to retain his spot in the PBKS Playing 11. Inglis was out for 14 runs and will look to make a big impact in the upcoming match.
Nehal Wadhera was the pick of the Punjab Kings batters in the last game. While his teammates struggled to last at the crease, the youngster scored an unbeaten 33 off 19 balls, including three fours and as many sixes to ensure that PBKS crossed the finishing line without too much trouble.
Shashank Singh did not impress with the bat either, getting out for just 1, and will be eyeing a good outing in the upcoming match. Marcus Stoinis scored an unbeaten 7, including a six.
Bowlers: Marco Jansen, Harpreet Brar, Xavier Bartlett, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal
The Punjab Kings‘ Playing 11 is likely to have three pacers and two spinners if the team bowls first. Marco Jansen, Arshdeep Singh, and Xavier Bartlett are expected to be the three fast bowlers in the PBKS Playing 11, while Yuzvendra Chahal and Harpreet Brar are set to be the spinners.
Barring the last over when Brar conceded 21 runs, the Punjab Kings bowlers pretty much dominated the proceedings with the ball. Arshdeep gave PBKS a flying start by dismissing Phil Salt and Virat Kohli, while Chahal, Jansen, and Brar picked up two wickets as well. On the other hand, Bartlett claimed one wicket.
