Hardik Pandya nearly gets injured
Pandya is one of the most valuable players in Indian cricket. He has several times won matches for India single-handedly with his explosive batting and pace bowling.
Hardik Pandya puts an extra load on his body and ensures that he gives his all on the field while playing in international cricket as well as in the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, the extra load brings an increased risk of injury, which is why the all-rounder is regarded as a highly injury-prone cricketer.
In the past few years, Pandya has worked a lot on his fitness, but has not been able to avoid injuries completely. In the MI vs SRH clash, Hardik Pandya suffered a massive injury scare in the 8th over of the innings.
After bowling the second ball of the over to Abhishek Sharma, who dispatched it for a boundary, Hardik Pandya was seen clutching his ankle and called for the physio.
He was checked right now for a long time, and his left ankle was strapped. The star all-rounder was ready to go after some treatment, and on the very next ball, he dismissed Abhishek Sharma.
Pandya bowled a short and slow ball to Abhishek Sharma, who slapped it towards sweeper cover, where Raj Bawa took an excellent low catch. Hardik Pandya was absolutely delighted after dismissing Abhishek for 40 off 28 and was seen doing a goodbye gesture.

How did MI perform in their previous IPL 2025 match?
In their previous Indian Premier League 2025 match, Mumbai Indians returned to winning ways with a thrilling 12-run victory over Axar Patel-led Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 13.
Batting first, Mumbai piled up a big score of 205/5 on the board, courtesy of good batting performances from Tilak Varma (59 off 33), Ryan Rickelton (41 off 25), Suryakumar Yadav (40 off 28), and Naman Dhir (38* off 17).
The aforementioned batters did a good job in the first innings and helped MI cross the 200-run mark despite a few mid-innings hiccups.
In the second innings, Mumbai Indians removed Jake Fraser-McGurk early but were troubled a lot by the veteran batter Karun Nair, who turned the game on its head with a blistering 40-ball 89 on his Indian Premier League return.
However, Mitchell Santner dismissed Karun Nair, and it triggered a collapse. Karn Sharma, who came in as MI’s Impact Sub, bowled a brilliant spell of 3/3,6 and in the end, DC suffered three consecutive run-outs in the penultimate over to be bowled out for 193 in 19 overs.
