India to tour Bangladesh for white-ball series in August 2025; Dates and venues announced



The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially confirmed that Team India will travel to Bangladesh for a white-ball series comprising three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and as many T20 Internationals (T20Is) in August 2025. The much-anticipated bilateral tour will span over two weeks, with matches taking place in two prime locations.

ODI series to kick off in Mirpur

The series will commence with the ODIs, starting on August 17 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. The second ODI is scheduled for August 20 at the same venue. The final ODI will shift to the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram and will be held on August 23.

Historic T20I series between Bangladesh and India

The T20I leg will begin on August 26 in Chattogram and will move to Mirpur for the concluding two matches, which are set for August 29 and 31. Notably, this will be the first bilateral T20I series between India and Bangladesh hosted on Bangladeshi soil, adding historical significance to the occasion.

BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury expressed excitement over the upcoming tour, describing it as one of the highlights of their cricket calendar. Chowdhury also reflected on the growing rivalry between the two sides.

“India have consistently raised the bar in international cricket, and fans from both nations are eagerly looking forward to this clash. Matches between Bangladesh and India have always been fiercely contested. I believe this series will be no different and will provide high-quality entertainment,” said Chowdhury as quoted by Cricbuzz.

Given the growing rivalry and close finishes in past encounters, the India-Bangladesh series is likely to become one of the most anticipated matchups in Asian cricket.
