Germany's Scholz rebukes Vance, defends Europe's stance on hate speech and much proper

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz delivered a robust rebuke on Saturday to U.S. Vice President JD Vance’s assault on Europe’s stance towards hate speech and the far proper, saying it was not proper for others to inform Germany and Europe what to do. Vance lambasted European leaders on Friday, the primary day of the Munich Safety Convention, accusing them of censoring free speech and criticising German mainstream events’ “firewall” towards the far-right Different for Germany (AfD).
