Father Of Skai Jackson’s Son Is Reportedly Placed Behind Bars For The Second Time In Months
Deondre Burgin — who also goes by Yerkky Yerkky — reportedly got scooped up again, this time in Kentucky. According to TMZ, Law enforcement says he was arrested at a gas station on April 17. This reportedly occurred after a Taylor Mill police officer spotted him and matched him to an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Ohio. Yup, he was reportedly flagged in the National Crime Information Center database.
The article further states that he’s currently locked up with a $25,000 bond. The backstory? Authorities in Hamilton County, Ohio, issued the warrant after he allegedly failed to display a license plate on his car in March. Afterward, he allegedly skipped out on his court date.

On January 26, Skai Jackson had fans buzzing after she finally confirmed she’s a whole momma! The former Disney star took to Instagram to share an adorable pic holding her newborn’s hand. Additionally, in the picture, the pair rocked matching green plaid outfits. At the time, Skai revealed the little boy’s name, Kasai, in the caption along with a bear and brown heart emoji.
Oh, and here’s the kicker. It was reported that Burgin missed the birth of his and Skai Jackson’s baby boy because he was locked up during his arrival. If you remember, we told y’all back in November that he was caught up in some more drama in Cincinnati, Ohio. As previously covered by The Shade Room, the cops tried to arrest him on a juvenile parole violation warrant. However, Burgin allegedly ran from the police like he was in a full-on chase scene, and ended up tripping and injuring himself in the process.
Sources close to Skai said she was excited to be a mom and focused on being the best role model. In an exclusive with People, she gushed about the new chapter in her life, saying, “I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life—embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is so full!”
Skai Jackson’s Pregnancy Journey
If you’ve been keeping up, you know fans were already putting the pieces together on Skai’s relationship with Deondre Burgin back in August 2024. At the time, Skai caused speculation after a police encounter over an alleged domestic dispute with her boyfriend at CityWalk. During her arrest, Skai reportedly told officers she was “happily engaged and expecting a baby.” She ended up sitting in jail for a few hours. However, the charges were reportedly dropped by September of that year.
It was also reported by The Shade Room, back in October of that year, that Skai’s baby bump was caught in the Northridge area. Despite trying to hold her flannel together, her belly poked through as she rested her hand on her stomach.
By November, she wasn’t hiding anymore and was slaying in maternity fits while proudly showing off her growing belly.
