New Audio Released That Allegedly Features Shannon Sharpe Threatening To ‘Choke’ Accuser ‘In Public’
A day after Buzbee and Doe shared audio of Sharpe allegedly threatening to “choke” a woman he’d been romantically involved with, even more audio was released that shows his alleged threat wasn’t a one-time occurrence.
On Wednesday, April 23, TMZ shared another clip that allegedly features Sharpe lobbing even more threats in this woman’s direction.
During a phone conversation, the woman who filed a $50 million lawsuit against Sharpe on April 21 for allegedly assaulting her could be heard telling a male caller, presumed to be Sharpe, that she wasn’t interested in going out.
“Don’t worry about it, [Doe],” the male caller allegedly replied.
“Well, OK,” she responded, leading him to ask, “OK, what?”
Doe replied, “Well, I’m not really interested in getting choked. So, I guess we’re going.”

The male caller could then be heard saying, “Ha! I might choke you in public. ‘Big, Black guy chokes small, white woman.'”
Later, Doe said that choking her in public wouldn’t be “a good look,” to which the male caller allegedly replied, “It’s not a good look that you did the sh-t you did to me.”

What Is Shannon Sharpe Being Sued For?
In the lawsuit, which was filed in a Nevada court, Doe claimed Sharpe sexually assaulted her over the course of their relationship, which began after they met at a Los Angeles gym in 2023, when Doe was 20 and Sharpe was in his mid-50s.
However, according to the legal documents, the alleged relationship between them turned sour after some time.
Doe’s lawyer, Buzbee, who was also involved in a legal battle with Jay-Z, released a statement about his client, saying she was under Sharpe’s “complete control.”
“He demanded complete control over her time and body,” Buzbee wrote, “expecting her to be at his house on his schedule, at his command, whenever he called.”

Doe Claimed Shannon Sharpe Allegedly R-ped Her More Than Once
As the lawsuit continued, Doe and Buzbee claimed Sharpe allegedly raped the plaintiff more than once between 2024 and 2025.
Per the documents, after Doe tried ending her alleged relationship with Sharpe following his infamous Instagram Live sex scandal, the former Denver Broncos player allegedly forced himself on her “while she was crying and sobbing.”
They went on to allege Sharpe raped Doe again in January 2025 after allegedly promising to deliver gifts for the holidays and Doe’s birthday.

Online, social media users shared their thoughts about the new recording of Sharpe allegedly threatening to harm Doe.
Many users shared how they were struggling to feel sorry for Sharpe, considering their wide age gap.
“I don’t feel bad for bro,” someone wrote on @TheShadeRoom’s Instagram. “You’re almost 60, and you out here really playing with a 19-year-old WHITE ONLYFANS MODEL.”
They continued, “You too old not to know better.”
“She literally sounds like a child,” another user wrote. “I’ll forever be disgusted by men who seek girls out like this.”
Sharpe Calls Lawsuit A ‘Shakedown’ And Vows To Sue Doe And Buzbee
Sharpe addressed the allegations against him in a social media video, in which he blasted Buzbee for targeting another Black man. He also claimed the lawsuit was a “shakedown” and promised to defend himself in court to the best of his ability.
“To my family, friends, supporters, and colleagues, I want to speak to you directly and from the heart,” Sharpe said. “This is a shakedown. I’m gonna be open, transparent, and defend myself, because this isn’t right.”

“[Doe] and Tony Buzbee want fifty million dollars, [but] what they’re getting is sued for defamation and trying to take me down. My career is all about real talk and honesty. I know my family and fans know exactly what this is about, and I’m going to be out there telling you whatever I need to say, just like I always do. I love all you guys,” he finished.
Hours after his social media address was shared online, Sharpe’s lawyer, Lanny J. Davis, revealed during a press conference that his client offered Doe $10 million to settle the case before she officially filed.
He went on to say that Sharpe, host of the popular sports podcast “Nightcap,” had mediation conversations with Doe about the potential case; however, they halted “within the last month or so.”
According to Davis, Doe “suddenly, without warning, walked away from our offer,” calling her actions a “big surprise.”
