Pugh reprises her role as bada– “Black Widow” successor Yelena Belova in the flick, and while she’s all-in on the MCU, she still holds a soft spot for her original co-star.
“My whole journey with Marvel was because of Scarlett [Johansson] trusting me and Scarlett wanting me to join her movie [‘Black Widow’] six years ago,” Pugh told The Hollywood Reporter.
“So I always miss her presence. It was such a mean thing … that [‘Black Widow’] was the first and the last time I would get to experience this world with her. But I am genuinely always just hoping that she’s proud.”
Sebastian Stan’s Bald Reveal Has Fans Doing A Double Take
Meanwhile, fans did a double take when Sebastian Stan stepped out, not because of his suit (a classic black pinstripe styled by Michael Fisher), but because the longtime Bucky Barnes actor was bald.
The 42-year-old star has shaved his head for a dramatic new role as Romanian immigrant Mihai in the upcoming family drama “Fjord,” directed by Cristian Mungiu and now filming in Norway. The transformation is a major pivot from his usual chin-length locks as the Winter Soldier in the Marvelverse.
MCU’s newest movie, “Thunderbolts,” blasts into theaters this Friday, May 2, 2025.
