Katy Perry Cancels Shows After Space Flight Backlash

Katy Perry has been forced to cancel her concerts in Mexico on May 1 and 2 due to circumstances beyond her control.

The setback comes amid the constant backlash the singer recently faced for her role in the Blue Origin all-women crew’s flight to space.

Katy Perry Goes To Space

The setback comes exactly a week after Perry joined five other women on the all-female Blue Origin flight that journeyed to space.

The flight lasted 11 minutes and saw the women cross the internationally recognized boundary of space.

The space capsule conveying the women landed on Earth with a parachute-assisted soft landing.

After landing, Perry and the rest of the crew were heard cheering as the recovery crew went to receive them.

After coming out of the capsule, Perry reacted by kissing the ground and raising a daisy to the sky in honor of her four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, whom she shares with her partner, Orlando Bloom.
